And this is because there are not enough skilled players. Skilled to put pack into the net. Plus we need good goalie a.s.a.p. Brodeur is running out of gas. Even making some good saves, he still letting easy ones to go in.

I'm not as worried about goaltending as others. Just about any goaltender can do well with the right team in front of them (see Scott Clemensen). Marty is still legit, the difference is with our inability to score, a soft goal becomes a gamebreaker.

Zajac didn't earn 8 years contract. Should've been 4-5 the most. And don't be surprised if Lou will sign Elias for 5-6 mil/yr this off season - he likes to be loyal to players who spent many years with team. I am not sure if this is right thing to do. Fans want winning and scoring team but not the one that deserves to be booed...

with this team possibly getting a lot younger next year and the way larrson has been handled do you have faith in this coaching staff when it comes to boucher? or any of the d men we have down there? even the new draft pick and mattuea?

rolston/richer/holik/shanny/malakov/mogilny sullivan remains to be seen. heck even clemmer got some cash out of uncle lou!

And I'm still not sold on PDB. Last year was great and things clicked at the right time, but we still don't know how good of a coach PDB is or isn't. Still, this season is on Lou. Keep putting them 3rd liners out there. Lou was one of the best GM's ever in the old NHL. Last year was his first taste of any success in the new NHL and it may have been a fluke or the stars just aligned.
