Unfortunately, he's already given up 7 in 1 1/3 innings. Hopefully the offense can repeat their first inning a couple times and see if Paxton can pull a miracle out of his butt and go five without any more damage.
Isn't that stupid to be superstitious (He's an ex-player. He is most definitely superstitious) or isn't that stupid to take Miley out of the rotation?I sincerely hope Jerry Dipoto isn't that stupid...
It would be supremely stupid to hold off on a roster move based on superstition over performance. I highly doubt Dipoto is that dumbIsn't that stupid to be superstitious (He's an ex-player. He is most definitely superstitious) or isn't that stupid to take Miley out of the rotation?
Either way, it doesn't matter because it isn't Dipoto's decision, it's Service's decision.

Paxton is a lefty who can throw in the upper 90's consistently, so they're going to give him more chances than he deserves to prove that he can pitch at the major league level. It might not be with his organization if he has too many more outings like this one, but someone will give him a shot. The question is whether he'll take that shot and make the most of it or take it and point it directly at his foot. We'll see.
Yeah you are right. I would love to see him have some passion/emotion out there. On the off days laugh and joke around with the guys in the dugout then when its your turn get locked in throw a few 96 MPH'ers high and tight and put some fear in the hitter. These guys where just teeing off on his gas.I really think he has one of the best arms in the system (including on the M's club), but has no idea how to pitch. I have posted on here two years running how he seems to be a mental midget in baseball. Shows no emotion and just doesn't look happy. It is one thing to be locked in as they say, but he just looks as if he dwells on every negative in the game.
Bedard 2.0 as I have been saying for over 2 years now.
