very very happy with this trade. if theres one thing holmgren does well is be aggressive and waste no time if he thinks something needs to be done. the defense was a weakness and within 2 days he adds 2 very solid defensemen. our defense is much much better now. all we need to do is eliminate bryz from the equation and i'm happy.

Damn. I can think of about 4 contracts I would like to get rid of. Don't care what order. Briere, Bryzy, Shitty, and possibly Carle. Now I wouldn't mind a trade for Luke Schenn regardless of the Grossman and Kubina deal. Never too much defense. Plenty of offense even if we did lose say JVR. Rather lose Briere.
