@Chief Cola and Co thoughts?
I didn't know the Chiefs were having defensive issues...maybe an undisclosed injury?

But they absolutely fleeced the Patriots in that trade. It's like teams are saying "Have another super bowl, on us!"

Yes yes they did. People are saying it was a salary dump by the Patriots but even if true there is no telling me they actually would spend it next season..

If the Patriots saw Uche as a player they wanted to retain for 2025 he would still be there. They will save about $1M with a minimum wage rookie on the roster instead of Uche. Better to have that money next year and give someone else a chance to improve.

The Man Film GIF by Taylor Swift
Certainly. Sort of interesting isn't it how the Referee and crew Shawn Smith of the NFL were picked "randomly" to ref the AFC Championship game last year right?

Huh

SB played first time ever in VEGAS. Taylor Swift drawing more eyeballs to the NFL than would otherwise never watch the NFL. Wn estimated $500 billion in ad dollars from overseas etc.

Ohhhhhh, Shawn Smith and his crew just so happened to be the ONLY crew that consistently calls more penalties on the home team. Yeah, in that close AFC Championship game, the home team Ravens had 8 penalties called compared to 3 for the Chiefs. Crucial penalties too, plus at least 2 obvious PI calls missed on the Chiefs that would have given the Ravens 1st and goal at the 1.

Here you go. Do we actually think the NFL was going to NOT find a way to ensure the swifties weren't tuning into the SB in Vegas?

Seriously do you even remember that game? The Ravens pissed down their legs. Idiotic penalties, poor performance and careless with the football.

Most of those penalties that make up the difference were obvious 15 yard variety penalties by the Ravens.

The only people who think that was a set up didnt watch the game.

Stupid? Wolfe is beyond stupid. Trade a 2nd round, never injured 26 year old edge rusher for the 200th pick in the 2026 draft.
Chiefs are barely winning games. And Wolfe just handed them a solid piece to their messy defensive puzzle. That team wouldn't piss on the Patriots if they were on fire and Wolfe gives them a blow job.
Messy defense?

The defense is carrying them.

Yeah I remember BS calls going the Chiefs way and hardly any going the Ravens. Quick, how many referees in NFL consistently call more penalties on the home teams. Hint: There's only one and that one just so happened to be the Referee. Coincidence? Really?

Chiefs are only 21st in sacks right now. Its not really a big deal because the Chiefs have Mahomes and a top 5 defense but the Chiefs are in a division that low-key could be excellent for a long time with Sean Payton and a top 5 defense and Justin Herbert and a top 5 defense. Every little bit helps.

True but they’re winning tight games and a few extra sacks/pressures can relieve the stress

Like every team, the 17 game season is a marathon of juggling healthy bodies. Another guy in the mix couldn't hurt.

I do know Spags has a history of going all nascar on the dline on obvious passing downs. I suspect more likely he'll just give Karlaftis some rest in a rotation as we go through the season as they both seem to fit the '+ pass rusher, meh run defender' mold.

Chris Jones is the actual difference maker. The last 2 seasons. Not to mention Taylor Swift and this need for the NFL to ensure the swifties aren't gping anywhere.

Yeah keeping them both fresh will help
