Also just a quick note so other Patriot fans know he didn't say "other worldly defense" on our board. He said "If your pass defense is so other worldly, why have the Broncos lost 5 games?"

I think most know that in the game of football just because you have one elite unit doesn't mean you win every game. The Cowboys pretty much had the exact same OL that they have this year. It is an elite unit but that wasn't enough to cover up the issues of the rest of the team.

The Rams have an elite front-4 but well they just fired their coach.

Arizona is actually the leading defense in total yards given up this year at only 298.5 yards per game. Yet well we see where they are. I would say Minnesota has an elite defense this year but are struggling to even make the playoffs.

It takes more than one unit to be great in this league.

Blount is the primary concern for me. Then...PA passing set up by Blount.

Denver gonna need a couple turnovers to win this one.

.If the Broncos defense is so 'Other Worldly" why do the Broncos have 5 losses?

Other than the Chiefs game (D sucked in the second half), I think the reason for the losses has primarily been shitty offense. Hard to to just pin losses on one thing though.

CD ................. You're being extremely anal. Please explain what you're trying to say that I didn't say. Are you being a nit picker about me leaving out the word "pass"???? Get the fuck out of my face.

Lol. There is definitely some sensitivity going on and I think it is closer to home than you realize.

Pats HAVE to stop Miller. No other way around it. IF Brady has time to throw the ball, the offense will be fine. I hate to say it, but NE is healthier this time around. I think Edelman was not very effective. The OL is playing great and we can run the ball. Gots to stop Miller....ya just gots too.

Defense needs to get pressure and not give up the big plays on 3rd down like they like too....Stop the run and force Denver QB to throw it...pretty fucking simple...

You don't even have an inkling to what's going on in my home right now. You couldn't handle it.

If you don't want feedback on your comments, perhaps you shouldn't make them. I will stick to my own board as you apparently find any comment responding to yours "sensitive".

Obviously, I wasn't referring to your actual "home". I was referring to you being the sensitive one around here.

It is safe to say neither of us knows what the other is going through in actual life or what the other could "handle". Wasn't my intent to go there.

Best of luck this weekend.

You come back here to talk bad about Bronco posters and how sensitive we are. If you didn't want your question actually answered then why come to our board to ask it? I thought the posters did a fine job of being truthful about our team pointing out the strengths and weaknesses of the Broncos. No we are not a perfect team but not like we are some push over either. You have confidence in your team which you should but us Bronco fans have some confidence in ours as well.

And me correcting your mistake in what you actually said is very important to the conversation. If we are just talking about our secondary then yes they are a dominant group that has been a big reason we have won 8 games this year so far. If we are talking about the entire team then they are not really the problem of why we have lost 5 games. Other areas of the team have contributed much more to that problem.

A loss doesn't actually take us out of the playoffs. Right now tied with Miami for that final spot with the tie breaker over them because of common opponents. They just lost Tannehil for the year so tough to see them going undefeated the rest of the way. We now have a 1 game lead over the Titans, Texans, Colts, and Ravens. So again we can still lose one and make the playoffs as all those teams are not going undefeated. In fact the Titans and Texans play each other week 17 so one of them has to lose at least one more game.

Still yes a big game for the Broncos as I would rather make it easy on the playoff scenarios and just win out. Or make it where one of those divisional games we could lose and still get in.

Also 99% sure you will be going against Siemian in this one. He didn't have any set backs this past game so he should be good to go. And as of right now weather wise it is supposed to be sunny but cold. I think the high for the day is 27 degrees.

The Broncos aren't very good this year. But the Pats always have trouble there no matter the circumstances.

So right now being a playoff contender means we are not good?

Great defense. Mediocre offense. It's not exactly earth-shattering to tell you they aren't very good this year. Battling for the last playoff spot with the likes of Miami and Tennessee isn't helping your case, by the way.

Well isn't that what the Broncos had last year when they won the Super Bowl? And while yes we have had our struggles this year and I wouldn't rate us as a top-5 team I would say very few teams want to face us in the playoffs even at home because of our defense giving us a shot to beat anybody.

And I would think most Pats fans know that a great defense in the playoffs even after a year of struggling some can lead to a Super Bowl since the Giants did it to the Pats twice. Not saying we are going to win the Super Bowl by any means but we are still a tough out.

Do you think you're good? That's all that matters.

I would say the Broncos are in the tier 2 of teams this year...

Tier 1
Cowboys, Patriots, Chiefs, and Raiders

Tier 2

Steelers, Giants, Seahawks, Broncos

I would have included the Dolphins but losing Tannehil makes it hard to put them with that 2nd group. All of those teams in tier 2 have shown moments of promise that if they get some breaks in the playoffs could go on a nice run and win the whole thing.

I already said I feared the Broncos in Denver. The Pats always have trouble there and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they lost. But they don't look like much of a threat in the playoffs...especially since they will have to go on the road. I do love the defense, but I don't think they have enough beyond that.

Honestly I would agree with this. I said before the season that while it would be nice to repeat the odds are not in our favor for that happening. It really hasn't felt like our season since the beginning at least for me. Can't win it every year so trying to look for the positives of this year of maybe having found our future QB in Siemian or Lynch if he really shows some growth.

A lot of hot talk about the upcoming Broncos-Patriots game. I had this game circled as soon as the 2016 schedule came out. I disregard the won-lost record of both teams and look upon this game as a toss up. Whenever two good teams face each other, the outcome is difficult to predict going in. The Broncos have a strong motive to win, namely to preserve their playoff hopes. They are always tough at home. The thin air and frigid temperatures take their effect on visiting teams. The Patriots would like to wrap up their post season position as early as possible so that they can ease their way forward. There are several thin spots on the Pats roster. Only three healthy receivers, no Gronk and a shaky return game (remember that Chris Harper's muff of a punt was a major turning point last year). Michael Floyd may actually be active for this game, a reflection of how thin the WR position really is. With Griff Whalen (who?) cut, I have no idea who will return punts. It should be a very entertaining game and, as is usually the case when two good teams face off, the one making the fewest errors, both forced and unforced, will most likely win. Good luck to all, and I hope there are no major injuries.
