Nothing earth shattering but 5 days after winning the Super Bowl, the Patriots are starting to get their house in order.
They signed 9 practice squad players and three free agents. The free agents are DL Antonio Johnson 30, who spent 6 years with the Colts and last season with the Titan. LB Rufus Johnson 24, 6'5" 272 was drafted in the sixth round last year by the New Orleans Saints. RB Dion Lewis 24, spent 3 seasons with Philadelphia Eagles and last year with the Cleveland Browns.
Resigned from the practice squad were OL Chris Barker, DE Jake Bequette, QB Garrett Gilbert, OL Caylin Hauptmann, WR Johnathan Krause, LB Eric Martin, LB Dontae Skinner, and DB Daxton Swanson.
It also sends a message to all of the free agents, that the Patriots won't wait until the last minute to fill spots on the roster.
