Patriots safety Duron Harmon was reportedly arrested for trying to enter Costa Rica with marijuana.

Costa Rican newspaper La Nación reports that Harmon was arrested on Friday afternoon at the Juan Santamaría airport, when he tried to enter the country with 58 grams of marijuana hidden inside a can of soda in a suitcase.

The Costa Rica Star adds that Harmon was temporarily detained and then sent back to the United States.

Harmon was a 2013 third-round draft pick of the Patriots who signed a four-year contract extension with New England last year. He has played every game since Week Two of his rookie season, but he’ll be at risk of potential NFL discipline for this incident.

Harmon has made his share of clutch picks over the years but if the pats brain trust decides to punish him they will slam the door just as hard as they would on a ball boy who did the same thing.

Not a very smart move. If you want some weed in Costa Rica, just go to the beach near a resort and you will find some rastaloozah that can get you any drug you want in minutes. The prices may be exorbitant compared to here in the states, but at least you ain't getting arrested for smuggling.

Two ounces. Had he just had a few grams he likely would have been let into CR. But he was in distribution territory. Holding that much anywhere is going to get you arrested.

This is exactly what I was thinking. He was silly.

If I ever had to go to Washington State again, why would I risk packing across the border? I could simply shop once I was there.
