I think he's got a slime to none chance to make the team at any position. Especially QB. But White is now saying he is willing to play other positions to try to stay with the Redskins. Makes sense. Probably his last chance to do anything in the NFL.

Will be interesting to see, I'm marking him down as a darkhorse return man.

It's not going to make a difference, unless he can put on 150lbs and play RT. We just don't have any holes that he could fill. Maybe he can return kicks?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. What position change could he make that would help?

Paul won't return kicks for us this year. I bet one of the rookie RBs take kick off duties and Crawford is our punt returner.

In fairness. Paul really isn't a true TE anyway.

He's still tiny for a TE though.

I dont know that his spot is that solid though.....depending on what happens in training camp and preseason...the RBS...how they play, and Minifield...could very easily get him whacked

He might have a leg up as a special teams player. But he's essentially useless on offense. If someone shows they can play special teams while also making a contribution at TE. Paul could be gone. All depends on what Reed and the rookie RBs are able to do IMO. It'll be a numbers game at RB, TE and CB on this roster.

considering fred davis is not reliable i think paul has a roster spot. don't think reed is a threat to start right away like i said before. he'll probably play more as the season hits the mid point. conventional wisdom says he needs a year before he is a starter.

paulsen is a better blocker but paul is a better receiver. i think the hardest cut is going to be at RB. i see the skins keeping 4 TE's and one of the rookie RB's start the season on the practice squad.

You wouldn't know that Paul was a better receiver by production or by watching them play though. All I care about is results. Paulsen isn't flashy but he's reliable and gets the job done.

Paul is a better athlete but that hasn't translated to anything on the field. Paulsen to this point is definitely a better TE than Paul.
