Just saw he ran 4.6 in the 40 at the combine. Looks to have great hands and gutsy. The time is concerning a bit.

Have to remind myself the reason Terrell Davis fell to the 6th round was because of his slower time at the combine. You watch him running on the field and the speed doesn't look like a big concern. He has decent short area quickness, and does well to get YAC opportunities.
Some guys just do not test well. In the explosive drills like Vertical and Broad Jump though he tested really well. So shows that short area quickness. He brings to the offense a player that thrives on slant routes and slot fade type plays. It is why Payton said when he watches Bryant some of what he can do reminds him of Michael Thomas. I expect the Broncos to use him in a similar way.Have to remind myself the reason Terrell Davis fell to the 6th round was because of his slower time at the combine.

Looking at Pump’s highlight video, he sure looks faster than 4.6.Pat Bryant is the most underrated piece of our draft, IMO.
I like the way he sees and uses the field during YAC. He seems to have a similar skill to Harvey. Aware of the defense and eludes the pressure/threat. Let’s see what these boys can do against an NFL “D”.Looking at Pump’s highlight video, he sure looks faster than 4.6.

that’s what Payton said. explosive off the LOS which if i can’t beat man in the NFL won’t see the field on a full time basisWhen I think of Pat Bryant I see explosion. He may not run a 4.4 but he makes up for it by getting off the line of scrimmage quickly, getting open and accelerating quickly. Physical WR who makes plays and finds the end zone.

We've got the guys already in place to win with long speed in Franklin and Mims. So it makes sense to get someone who can win in the short area quickness and have strong hands to catch it in traffic.
