Keep him around. No injury to stash him on IR (yet) with PS the way they are now you can easily manipulate the roster.

nah. Teams don't store guys on IR like they use to. Don't have to with the PS rules.

I have been thinking that as well. I get DC's point but I just don't think Franklin is ready to contribute at all this year so if he tweaks a hammy IR makes sense.

How does storing him on IR all year help him? It puts him back a year.

He can't practice if he is on season ending IR.

Doesn't make sense for his development purposes.

I get that, but man he looks far off and even with practice squad rules moving players on off risks losing them to another team if they shine so having Franklin taking up a roster spot can be an issue. Flip side is exactly what you are saying that he doesn't move forward if he is on IR. It will be an interesting decision for sure.

The numbers become a crunch but we didn't do it with Skinner of Forsyth last year and I will be shocked if we do it with Franklin this year. Remember, last year we only kept 4 WR's on the initial roster and because of the PS rules we would bring Humphrey, Sills, Dorsett up early on. I think we will do that at similar positions this year and keep Franklin on the active but inactive game day roster. Holding a roster spot for a FB is sorta rough when you have such a number crunch but we will likely keep 2 QB's again, IMO. Just like Skinner and Forsyth, Franklin needs valuable practice reps as the season goes on and the fact that we have a second round grade on Franklin tells me we will probably red shirt him this year unless we are so down on him now that the thought has changed... Payton and Paton liked to give their draft picks time though.

If he has Eye Issues or Just nor concentrating the ball in like Cecile was stating that might be easy to fix . His Rout tree is fine and his use of field is good . not a reason to put him on ice.

Like DC said rules have complety changed I hope they make a lot of new rules were you can Develope 3 or 4 guys no time limit on it and spend all you like to do it. and not count on roster
