The Panthers will give Cam Newton most of the first-team reps in practice this week in anticipation of the quarterback making his first start since his return on Sunday against Washington.

Just like i said, its Cam this week vs WFT. Guy has been out of the league for half a year and I fear he and his team pound the WFT this week. My early defensive game plan looks like this: Keep Cam in the pocket, make him throw from the pocket exclusively and don't let him run uncontested up the middle (pls spy him w/Davis) or scramble outside.

Blitz more often. Put settle or Ion in more often - play from a strength. Dont expect the same concepts with sweat and young to work with their backups.

The WFT still has some serious up the middle pressure guys. Allen was on another level yesterday, against a pretty good oline.

If they can get push up the middle then even the backups should be able to get to Newton.

He sucked in New England last year. He’s not the same player he was. That being said, he’s still a big dude, and will definitely want to play really well against RR.

Revenge factor game vs momentum swinger before stretch against better teams and divisional opponents.

RR I believe drafted Cam and was his coach for 3 seasons or so... If he cannot come up with a game plan to stop said familiar QB who hasn't played since last season and who's skills have eroded to the point you didn't want him when he was available, then you Sir should hand in your resignation.

Not sure how familiar Rivera is with Cam under Rhule. I think making sure McCaffrey is the big deal and if I remember correctly Carolina has a good D.

Yes, McCaffery is a dude and the focal point of defending the Panthers offense. Limit McCaffery if that's possible you will likely win.
