If one of our first two picks ends up being a QB, that will have meant we're pretty much starting over from scratch yet again, and that would suck big time. So suffice to say I'm hoping by season's end the subject of which QB to take will be non existant. Shit, I'm even hoping Mooney finally steps it up so that even WR isn't in the conversation, altho I suspect it will be. Under ideal conditions, it would be great if our two 1st rounders are taken from the trenches. Last night was encouraging as far as our pass rush was concerned, but no doubt our top need, unit-wise is on the DL and specifically the pass rush. That's the position I plan on following with the collegiate games in greater detail than usual.

Now, I think we are 1 Center away from a very good oline WITH solid depth. If we were to draft a QB and WR in round 1 while grabbing a quality center in the second round, the young qb would have all of the talent required to succeed as an nfl QB. We’re much better off right now than we were when we drafted fields.

I like what you said here, altho I'll disagree a bit regarding the strength of our OL. Granted, injuries have prevented us from seeing what the line can truly bring to the table, but I suspect even at 100% full health (and will that ever take place this season?), I'm still not enamored with our depth. None of us can predict at this point which two spots the Bears will hold in the draft next year. It's quite possible we could have two in the top 10, maybe even the top 5. I have no clue if we're going to start from scratch again and use one of them on a QB. Or if Poles deems it a must that we use one on a WR. I'll most likely continue for the time being to have on my wish list to grabbing someone from the DL & OL with our first two picks. But it's only fair to see how the rest of this season plays out. Maybe the need for the trenches won't be as dire - that would be nice.

I think we started from scratch last season,its not like we have made the playoffs or have winning record for a few years now......
I just figured starting over was gonna be a two,possibly 3 year season......
We are going on year two........Poles has to HIT BIG TIME on our first no.1 picks.....this team needs to make a big leap given the no.9 pick was spent on Wright and this years no.1 plus adding Moore....no excuses.
He should be fired in 24 if it doesnt happen.....

Yeah, I was rooting for the Vikes for the same reason. I want as much padding as possible for at least our Panthers pick, and who knows where we'll end up when the season is over.

Not liking the direction the Panthers-Texans game is going. Panthers up 12-7 and seem to have the momentum. Somewhat surprisingly, it appears that Young so far is outperforming Stroud. C'mon Texans!!!

I'm going to be pulling for every team that the Panthers could possibly catch up to. It's a shame that the Texans couldn't hold the fort there down the stretch.
