brady was pretty bad last year. hard to watch, and it WASNT all due to his protection or talent around him. 26th most accurate QB in football last year. he normally hovers around 10-15. the metric removes throws out of bounds, groundings, etc. his accuracy has declined sharply over the last 3 years. i pointed it out to my boss in an argument one day. slowly, the throws to edelman across the middle were once in front of him, were starting to hit him in the hips, and then the last 2 years...throws have been BEHIND edelman, regularly, over the middle. thats a sign of quick twitch muscle memory starting to fade. the mind is willing but the body is a 1/2 second behind the mind. his throws at times last year were head scratching.
i liken it to a batter losing bat speed.
