Shark, with Williams signing with the Raiders today that leaves us with Pot Roast. If we lose out on Pot Roast you would rather take an OLB which every guy has flaws in their game besides Shelton? Don't give me Fowler b/c he wont be there. Shelton is the pick at #5. I would consider Waynes but not the OLB's too many issues with their respective games. We are a good NT away from a solid front 7. Plus why are all you guys writing off Murphy? He had a solid rookie season.

Dean... First I think Shelton is a tad over rated and it appears you have a bit of a player crush on him.

Secondly I dont care how many play makers we have on defense, whats best for this team right now and long term is to put enough talent on the line so that ONE of these QBs works out to be at least serviceable. Because bottom line is, we do not want to be back in the we must have a QB mode next year. And the best way to avoid that is to put enough talent on the line that we can stick almost any one back there and make the ofense work.

Dallas has proven over the last two years, if you got a good enough O-line you can put a monkey with a broken back on the field and win the division.

Dallas also has a good veteran QB in Romo, so you cant compare that. Then give me some names at #5 that you are looking at? I don't have a crush on Shelton. If we lose Pot Roast I think we should take him. Very rare a guy with his size ahs that kind of speed and ability. How is that being over rated?

Dean if either of the WR's are ranked BPA when we draft do you take either?

Schreff, Peat, Collins, maybe Flowers. I admit all might be a stretch at #5 ( a little) but over all I think any one of them would solve a problem we have been chasing since Jon Jansen left. Add in a starting RG of some measure and i think those two moves go a lonng way towards fixing what ails this team alot more than another pass rusher who is supposed to transcend the way the position is played.

lol @ Shark. That is a super stretch with those guys at #5. NT takes precedence over RT, RG, and S. How could you not want Waynes??? lol I will agree with you that OLB should not be the pick with all of the holes in these pass rushers in the draft.

No way Ritz on WR. If we lose out on Pot Roast the pick should be Shelton. If we get Pot Roast the pick should be Waynes.

Shelton is overrated he is dropping in mocks either out of the top 10 or top 15

So basically you are saying another pass rusher or a corner is more important than being able to protect the QB and run the ball. the ability to be a highlight play on sports center matters more than say scoring enough points to win the game??

Sorry bro, not buying that. I realize the old saying Defense wins Lombardi's, how ever offense gets you to the playoffs to be in position to win those Lombardi's. And if we go into the season with Chris Chester and Tom Compton starting on the line, well I would suggest you book your vacation for week six of the season, because we will basically be playing for draft position by that point simply for the right to draft Cardale Jones.

I didn't say pass rusher I said NT and CB. If you cant stop the run in this league its over. Shark we can get a RT or RG in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Plus you are forgetting about Long. Give him a shot to develop. None of the guys you mentioned are better football players than Shelton and Waynes. None!!

And how the fuck has that worked for us the past what 11 years?? You are concentrating on who is the better position player, I want whats better for the TEAM long term. You seriously think if Long was anything remotely special he wouldnt have at least earned a few snaps at the end of last season??

By the way, we were 12 in rushing defense last year.

Flip side only ONE team gave up more sacks than we did... .you do the math and figure out where our REAL problem was.

Rg3 was responsible for a lot of those sacks. He held on to the ball too long and ran into sacks. You cant deny that. You cant just give up on a 3rd round player. IF you want a guard so bad, AJ Cann from South Carolina will be there in the 2nd round. Plus we have a different oline coach this year. Im not writing off Long and Moses by no means.

Moses has two let feet and one of those is broken at the moment. If he starts the season not on the PUP list I will be surprised.

And teams give up on 3rd rounders all the time. Again Chester SUCKED. No way around that. If long were remotely ready he would have earned some playing time when we were simply riding out the season. And yes I admit alot of those sacks were on Griffin. But lets look at the flip side, when Philly gave Nick Foles an average of 4.3 seconds of clean pocket, he lit the league up. Last year Romo made it look easy because he had a good enough line to give him a clean pocket more often than not. I dont care which of our Qbs works out, we need to put a line in front of them that will allow one of them time to develop over this season, because I seriously DONT want us in the Cardale hunt next year.

I also find it funny that you say i cant give up on a 3rd rounder, but you are ready to give up on Amerson and have been from the moment we drafted him in the second round.

Amerson is playing and he stinks. Long and Moses haven't even played. How can you judge them? Amerson has two more seasons at cheap money. I say draft Waynes b/c when Amerson fails this year you still have a stud CB waiting in the wings. Can Amerson turn it around? Possibly, but watching last years tape I cant see it. He even had the luxury of not starting right away and still didn't take advantage of it. Waynes is a great insurance policy. CB's in FA are expensive. We have a opportunity to draft a stud CB at cheap money why not take advantage. You cant rely on Hall and Amerson. We are pinning out hopes to Breeland who is only a rookie last year. He needs more help. I really hope the Skins get Pot Roast. Waynes would be a great pick at #5. Even if we sign Cox, I would still draft him b/c I believe Hall will be released this year.

OK I say Moses stinks because the few times we saw him he did stink... and now he is a broke dick. And we have the chance to solidify a long standing issue on the offensive line, explain to me again why this is a bad idea?? A stud corner is only going to get you so far if you are constantly trotting out the likes of Morgan two left feet Moses on the O-line.

Amerson had a bad year last year, but it's too early to say he stinks. Just like its too early to say Moses and long are busts. Whatever happened to the days were young players were given a chance to develop and grow into NFL players?
