you are assuming he will be only a DE he may weigh about 305-10 depending on what web site . however he benched 49 reps at his combine and he is more then strong enough to be a NT at worst in passing situations

you also have hatcher who could play some NT as well

i think jenkins can come back because i doubt he will get much anywhere else and i would take the younger jenkins over the 30 plus golston

however he may not come back either

skinsdad. Hatcher and Paea got paid in FA b/c of there sack numbers not there run stopping ability. hathcer at NT? are you out of your mind? Paea is not a good run defender its been known. Hatcher and Paea are good pass rush guys for there size. If we lose out on Pot Roast and Williams. There is a huge hole at NT. Shelton fills that hole.

Shark, with Williams signing with the Raiders today that leaves us with Pot Roast. If we lose out on Pot Roast you would rather take an OLB which every guy has flaws in their game besides Shelton? Don't give me Fowler b/c he wont be there. Shelton is the pick at #5. I would consider Waynes but not the OLB's too many issues with their respective games. We are a good NT away from a solid front 7. Plus why are all you guys writing off Murphy? He had a solid rookie season.

I think Pot Roast will be signed ONLY if the $$ are in line with what SM envisions is reasonable for his talent. He has shown (so far) that he will hold the line to this strategy.
