I don't recall Cooke apologizing for his hit on Savard. I don't recall any hockey player ever apologizing for a hit that injured a player. I don't mean to pick on Cooke. Feel free to to change his name with any you want. Chara has already said he feels bad about what happened and it bothers him. I can't remember the last time a hockey player has said something like that.

Based on the Patches comments I assume that Chara hasn't attempted to contact him. I know that Cooke tried to contact Savard, and I know that guys will try to find a way to apologize (heck, even Steckel apologized to Sid, although second handed). I'm saying it should be some big public thing, but he broke a guys neck.

first thing i heard after the game was that Chara was trying to get in touch with Max. don't know if he was successful
(to come full circle, moore refused/declined to speak to bertuzzi when he had called). maybe he was already on the phone to his lawyer, i dunno.)

I didn't know that about the Chara incident, but lets not overkill the Cooke thing. Clearly was remorseful. It takes a lot of guts for a grown man to call another and apologize about these things.
