For one, what "similar jobs" are available or likely to be?

As for why they would take the USC job...

For Meyer, he was won National Championships at 2 different schools. I don't know if anyone else has done that, but I'm pretty sure no one has won NC's a 3 different schools. USC already has a lot of talent and with the new President and AD in place, things look a lot more stable. Add Meyer to that and recruiting would be back to the levels we are used to quickly. Meaning, Meyer could have them back in the NC hunt quickly.

For Franklin, nevermind that USC is a little bigger name than Penn St. Looking at how he has resurrected that program, he would have an opportunity to do the same at USC, only he'd be starting with a lot more talent than he had when he took over Penn St.

For both, USC doesn't have a lot of juniors or seniors, so they shouldn't be losing much talent.

Texas would be a comparable job.

Right now, PSU is at least as good of a job as USC

I don't see Texas firing Heman just yet. Even if they do, USC is in better position to win now than Texas.

Disagree re: PSU. It may look as good right now, but USC had to be down and PSU up for that to happen. So, when both programs are at top strength, USC is the better job.

Earning potential is less at USC due to taxes, COL

Lol.

Folks always to use taxes and it's bogus.

Taxes have never stopped anyone from coming to USC or any other California school or professional team. Folks making that kind of money don't worry about taxes.

No, the reason it's bogus is no red blooded Male would have a tax price that's too high for having access to all that sun and half naked babes walking around.

And the obvious recruiting advantages it adds as well.

Let alone SC has the ability to dominate the conference with the talent located in its back yard. SC’s ceiling is Pete Carroll esque Penn State is being a top 10 team and if something goes wrong they can dethrone Ohio State for a year.

You left out plague infested rats, rolling power outages, footing the healthcare bill for illegal aliens, drinking recycled toilet water, horrible traffic, rising crime rates due to proposition 57 and the highest gas prices in the nation.

What would you like to bet that everything I posted up above is the truth.
Yeah and every single person in California is running around so deeply impacted by these calamities.
Puh-lease

I don't know many straight men that wouldn't put up with all of that to access the abundance of fine tail down there.

Just saying. Breathe. You’ve got a serious case of the chapped red ass. When California’s problems start affecting you then maybe your chicken little views will be felt a little deeper.

So much anger and venom.

@AlaskaGuy you have really got to step away from Fox News for a week or so.
