He's the only reason the Ducks aren't 5-6 wins each year since Uncle Phil threw a kings ransom at him to join Nike U. Their defensive ranking will be dropping like a rock with his departure.

Also be interested to see if any of their commitments demand to kill their LOI status and reopen their recruitment on this news. The timing of this must be a nutz kick to a lot of them who thought they were getting Leavitt as their DC.

1 bad season? So they won the conference in '17? I must have missed that. Or was it '16?

They have finished no higher than 4th in the North for the last 3 seasons. So yeah, their little run is over, 15 minutes have been up for years now, and they are closer to the bottom of the division than the top.

I define a good season as winning, yes. I define the end of the ducks run as 3 straight seasons of bottom half of the pac 12 north. And when they were used to competing for the conference title most years before that I'd say it has been a miserable failure since. It's all relative.
