it was weird. shaw has his hand picked ol and we had bryce love in the backfield. finally had a semblance of a passing game and we ended up with the the worse run offense in recent memory. granted injuries and all that, but we really stunk.

no studs on dl, so as expected not much defense.

i think the change in coordinators hit us harder than anticipated. hopefully this chit gets corrected as costello and the tight ends should be formidable in '19. otherwise it's back to the middle of the pac

I don't know what Bryce Love was thinking coming back. RB is a position you jump to the NFL as soon as you can.

A. To get a degree from Stanford

B. The chance to win the Heisman outweighs not getting drafted which he would’ve been taken in 6th or later where there is no guaranteed money.

Team is loaded with 3* kids heading for the NFL. That's why I laugh at duck fans and their hard on for this class they have going. It means nothing when Petersen dominates with 3*'s like no other.

2 things is why he came back

A. To get a degree from Stanford

B. The chance to win the Heisman outweighs not getting drafted which he would’ve been taken in 6th or later where there is no guaranteed money.

He could always go to the NFL and come back get his degree. History tells you a Stanford RB would have to have out of this world numbers to win the Heisman. Why add so much wear and tear on your body after a year of getting so banged up. It just made no sense.

It's one thing to land high value recruits. It's quite another to win with them. I'll believe they have the staff to win games only after I see it and not a moment sooner. Im not sold crystal ball is legit and likely his DC is out after their bowl as it is, more or less did I give much cred to him anyway.

Right now the road to the CCG in the north goes through Montlake. That's just how it is.

I agree 100% just because you get the 5 or 4* doesn’t mean they will be better than the 2 or 3*.
Yes next year will depend on two things right now.
One does JH stay
Two does levit stay
If yes to both then Oregon has agreat chance to sit atop the pac once again.
