He's been out of college football awhile so you have to cut him some slack. He probably still thinks if you tank for the year you get to draft higher and get better players.

For sure UCLA tanking is a good thing for most of the rest of the conference. A whole lot more of that states top tier talent are in play for everyone else.

To be fair to Chip and the Bruins...

Mora didn't necessarily leave the cupboard bare, but he did leave it full of players that don't really fit Chip's system. So he may as well have.

I read that they have something like 20 true and redshirt freshmen seeing significant playing time.

Combine that with a schedule that is among the toughest in the nation and...

Once again I say...

Sheesh... The amount of penalties that USC accrued in the game has to be near record setting (if not a record).

18 penalties for 169 yds. That's almost a third of their total yardage for the game. And almost as much as Ware's rushing yardage (173 yds).

I'll still take the win, as ugly as it turned out to be, though.
