Last time I was in Vegas I was shocked to see so many kids running around, especially at the hotel. They just play at the pool all day. It's definitely changing more into a family city too.
It started with Disney buying a casino. After that a lot of the casinos caught on seeing how its about impossible to find a babysitter these days.

Disney purchased Circus Circus over a decade ago.
Um, no, Circus Circus is and has been owned for quite a while by MGM.

The current "resort type" casino in Vegas started in the late 80's/early 90's when groups like MGM came in and did make casinos more "Disneylike" and family friendly, realizing that the old style of doing business there was dying, i.e making money only from gambling.

They realized that that they can even get non gamblers to come and spend loads of cash by making the casinos into family friendly resorts. Nowadays a company like MGM, which owns at least half a dozen Vegas casinos like MGM Grand, Mandalay, New York New York, Circus Circus, and a few others, make just as much, probably more money from food, beverage, resort fees, entertainment, etc than they do from gambling. There are tons of people that go to Vegas, spend a grand or two, and never spend a penny of it gambling.

Also in comparison to Levi Stadium. It's a way cheaper trip for any fan base within the conference. Cheaper flights, cheaper hotel stays, better experience.

It is a lot better for Ducks and Husky fans who purchase tickets for the CCG and you don’t make it. There are plenty of bars in Vegas for you to still go to.

Well, when nobody shows up to your CCG, just slap some lipstick on the pig.

Everything will be fine.

Lets have the Big 12 title in Aruba. Does it matter?
Vegas is pretty much located in the middle of the conference. Cheap flights, cheap hotels, and plenty to do there. Choosing Vegas is a no brainer.
