Pablo knew what he was getting into. Hell..everyone told him he would get roasted if he came in out of shape. It's up to Pablo..He is a mercenary now..he has to live with it. It's time to move on and concentrate on Giants players and the team repeating. Good luck to Pablo.

Pablo is not a problem. He gave us everything he had and will always be remembered fondly in SF. He decided on a new challenge..but with that he has no grace period because now he is a mercenary. Even Letterman did a Top Ten about him bringing up the 95 Mill he is getting. Barry Zito had that 126 Mill tag around his neck for a long time before his great games in the playoffs in 2012..especially in St. Louis game 5. Being a mercenary can be a bitch. But to say Pablo was a problem is not right. Yeah he had some weight issues but when the chips were in the middle he produced. The Panda will always be loved in SF. I wish he would of stayed but he chose Boston. He will overcome all the talk. He has been through the wars before. I wish him the best.

Never said I didn't like the guy. Just that now the weight issues and injuries are theirs.

I wanted him back and wish him the best. We'll see how Panda handles the criticism. Before Sandoval left, Krukow talked about him during his KNBR show. Krukow said Panda took his slumps and criticism really hard. Krukow also questioned whether Panda will able to deal with what is sure to be much harder criticism if things don't go right this year.

I disagree. He could have been so much more if he would have stayed in shape and listened to his hitting instructor once in a while instead of swinging at every pitch that was between shoe tops and chin.

But, man did those balls carry when he nailed that golf swing!

I think that "golf swing" was the reason his power numbers went down so drastically over the years. His power came from hitting good pitches which no one in their right mind would throw him any longer because they knew he'd swing at anything.

I think Pablo will always be an agressive hitter. I think when he is on a good streak he tend to be a bit more selective than when he gets into one of his slumps and then starts chasing everything. It wouldn't surprise me to if a few years down the road Pablo eats his way out of the league.

Home in Boston, Pablo Sandoval Says Leaving San Francisco 'Not Hard at All' | Bleacher Report

Couple of excerpts from the article:
"I knew early in spring training last year I was going to leave," Sandoval said. "They didn't respect my agent. Contract talks, everything. The way Brian Sabean (Giants general manager) talked to my agent.
"The Giants made a good offer, but I didn't want to take it," he said. "I got five years (and $95 million) from Boston. I left money on the table in San Francisco.
"It is not about money. It is about how you treat the player."

"Only Bochy," Sandoval said of Giants manager Bruce Bochy. "I love Boch. He's like my dad. He's the only guy that I miss. And Hunter Pence. Just those guys.
"But now, I feel like I'm home."
