I was wondering if I could nominate Ox to the SportsHoopla HOF. He was a great poster, always make people feel welcome to the Kings forum no matter what team they rooted for & was a very knowledgable & objective fan. Even tho he saw his Kings win 2 Cups his final years, he always kept it real like a true Kings fan that endured the frustrations from previous years. I don't think people outside of the Kings forum realize what a treasure we lost & I hope we honor him properly.

Two years is coming up quick. He was a good man, especially to me if you have read this thread. My shit actually went sideways after he died if you have followed the timeline of my life which I have no problem sharing with the guys here I have known them so long.

April 16 will always be a happy yet sad day for me, it is my youngest daughter's birthday (7 this year) and Ox's anniversary as well.

Thought about the Oxilator this weekend, cannot believe it has already been 2 years since he left us. My youngest daughter's birthday is the same as his passing date so it is always a bittersweet day for me. She turned 7, he turned 2 on his celebration of life day.

Still miss that guy, would have loved to hear what he thinks is going on now with this circus known as the LA Kings.

Hard to believe 3 years has so quickly gone by. It's an easy date for me to remember because not only is it Ox's anniversary it is also my youngest daughter's birthday, who turned 8 today. Always a bittersweet day for me.

Wish you could see the kids and how much they gave grown since you last saw them but I can assure you they are like weeds and grow like a foot a day or something.

I always looked forward to The View From The Ox Box, I sat in his seats many times (S215) either with or without him if he couldn't make a game. He was a mentor to me, he always treated me as a son no matter what stupid decision I had decided to make at those times in my life. I miss the man a lot, we were very close.

Funny you mention that, I already am Troop Dad for my youngest daughter's Girl Scout troop and involved with the boys' Cub Scout pack too but I inquired with Big Brothers Big Sisters of OC not long ago.

Many people have helped me along my way, including Ox, and gave me chances I should never have received. Somehow I made the most of those and turned into a pretty good person and dad but they saw my potential and figured just hang in there, he will get it right this time. I'd love that opportunity to give that to someone else so it's something I'm exploring.

Been 9 years my friend, I can't believe how quickly its gone by. I'm in a good place, not being a trouble maker and doing life and taking care of the kids. Your advice was brilliant and I listened.

Can't forget your special day Ox, it's been 10 years. Ten long years. It feels like yesterday but a lifetime ago at the same time.

I think of you often, I find myself saying what would Ox do in this situation? Most times I figure it out these days, some days Pucky returns. Guess you can't change the stripes on a tiger but maybe you can tame him a bit. I credit you and my dad for that.

We all miss the View From the Ox Box, I specifically pick seats in S215 when I do go. I'll be with the kids, friends, whoever but remember sitting here with you here 25 years ago and watching a game together many times. I have never told them this is why I pick S215, I just tell them they are great seats with an awesome view. That's my little secret that I enjoy between you and I and I plan on keeping it that way. Something for me to enjoy and remember. Sat in your row against Edmonton on Dec 28.

Speaking of the kids, they're getting older. You remember them as a max 10 year old, now they'll be 20, two mid teens and a newbie teen by the end of the year. Time does indeed fly. You'd be proud to know I made it to 50 and didn't end up in prison or murdering someone haha. Thanks as always for showing me some light, grace and telling me I can be more than what I was. Mission accomplished but a lot more to go.

I love this time of year because I get to talk to you but I also hate it because I don't. As you know Ms Puck II and you share a special date together so it's always a little bittersweet for me but I smile both ways. Thought of you a lot today, big milestone date being a decade.

Back to hockey, I'm damn near positive you had a hand in this year's team. Much like you were sick of my shit you probably looked at the last 3 Kings teams and said the same thing, it's time to win.

Playoffs begin this weekend, keep that good juju going for the Kings. And if you can somehow kick McJesus in the vagina that would be awesome. If the Kings lose, kick Bowlby in the vagina and show him the door.
