Our biggest need in the offseason is still Defensive line like its been for years. This year there were still way to many times that a qb just stood in the pocket and picked us apart with no pressure or we got our asses pounded in the run game. I have been saying for years we need a big fat DT and we are still to stupid to figure out that Hayden is absolute garbage and a waste of a roster spot. You have to build a team from the inside out meaning you need to sominate both lines of scrimage. Position players are all flash imo.
fat boys can be had later in the draft and no way has Hayden been a wasted roster spot. That's wrong on all levels. NOW...on a quality deep talented roster then the Haden's are weeded out cause talent always trumps. That hasn't been the case the last two seasons and frankly Haden and the way he approaches the game is refreshing to watch.

I'm with you, some have a soft spot for Cole but my soft spot is for Haden. he just goes out there and does his job. He's not probowl material or a top 5 at his position, but you can count on him to stay where he is supposed to be.

And I've been begging for a fat ass in the middle for a long time. Doesn't need to get up field, just sit and muck up the lanes. Wish like mad we could have gotten Wilfork last year but we didn't have the luxury of an extra $9M sitting around un-earmarked.

This is 9 pages long, but do we have a list of the UFA and RFA's? I was scanning it and saw a few names of guys we need to resign at the right price but not anyone like Dez + Murray that could handcuff us as we wait to see what they are going to require to get back.
Guys I'd like to have back as long as someone doesn't offer stupid money (in order of my priorities):

Dunbar - was looking excellent pre-injury
Jack Crawford -DE player who looks like he might be putting it together
Mincey - DE depth if nothing else
Hanna - Either get him back or draft multiple TE's.
Leary - Depth
Claiborne

I like the list. The thing about losing Dunbar is that they were finally starting to use him after just talking about it the year before. He would have filled such a good niche for us. He should be a big part of the offense next year if here and healthy.

There is a CB that I'm anxious to see if he comes out. At the start of the year he was ranked as the 3rd best in nation. Nobody threw his way really all yr so he fell some. Great PR too. I hope he goes Pro because I can't stand Tennessee. His name is Cam Sutton. The thing that worries me with both Heargraves, Sutton, the LSU guys - the Qbs in the SEC were very average to below average this yr. With exception of Prescott, the next best pro prospect was probably Towles from UK and he got benched.

Yes I'm SEC biased. Ha
The great SEC Claiborne worked out so well for us. Pescott is Jason Campbell part 2. Don't want any SEC QB's.

Ive seen 3 mock drafts...no I don't put a lot of stock in these things but all3 had us taking OLB. WTH an I missing something that probably 4 or 5 on our need list. I'm a BPA guy but It's other BPA talents there that match our needs more? If Cowboys draft OLB I will lose it.

I don't see OLB as a MAJOR need, but the so called experts seem to think it is.

I'm surprised there are already 3 mock drafts out there, when there is still one week left to the season:scratch:

I know it's just one game, and Bama's D is great, but Cook isn't helping his draft stock tonight.

Bama looks like they have 15 on the field instead of 11.

Always look at every player as the individual that they are.

Who? Cook??

Yes it was Cook. Sorry I didn't throw that out there, I talked about it up thread a bit.

So having said that.........

Michigan St. got hammered. A big part was QB related but not fault. His O line was being fucking manhandled all night and alabama hardly blitzed. Cook was never able to rally his troops to a single point. But I really like the kid. Would be cool if that cements a second round pick by the Boys while they go DT in the first.
