I am so glad we don't have Johnny here. I can't say it enough. That is scary that jerry still thinks he would have been a good addition. If he gets the chance to get him I'm afraid what he might give up to do it.

After listening to Jerry's interview yesterday, I'd be stunned if the Cowboys don't go QB in the 1st round. He talked openly about how he should have overruled Stephen and taken Johnny Football to get a young, talented QB on the roster. Of course, taking Martin was the right call, which is the scary part going forward

Someone needs to duct tape JJ to a chair in the draft room and tape his mouth shut before he screws anything else up on that front. He could fuck up an anvil with a rubber mallet

Did he really say that?what an asshole if he thinks Manziel would be better on this team than Martin. That is just an asinine statement even if it were true. Based on the fact it is a million miles from true it's a bizarre head scratcher of a comment for an owner to make. Bet Martin feels real special right now...

He never said anything negative about Martin personally, he just said he knew it was a mistake that he didn't take Manziel and its haunted him for 2 years

I like Cook too, but I'm leary of taking him top 10. Thing is if he's the QB wanted we HAVE to take him #1 no matter where we fall. I love to trade back, get an extra pick or two, and still land a QB, but if it's QB we want we can't monkey around.

Well with 1 game left I think it's time for Linehan to go offense in the red zone is pathetic
We gotta draft a solid backup QB
We need a run stuffing DT
Secondary needs a good overhaul
Hardy is not worth the money he will want and has not earned his salary this year IMHO
McClain is like Jeckel and Hyde you just don't know who is showing up
We need a RB Nothing against McFadden he has done a awesome job
Butler might have a little something
Moore is just not the answer good young man and most likely will make a great coach but he is not a NFL QB

At this point I would have no problem taking him in the top ten. I am sure you have your reasons for thinking this is not a good deal but if he is the QB of the future, and I think he could be that guy, taking him with our number one and top 5 or so would not bother me in the least. He is projected as the 3rd best qb to come out. Marino was the 8th qb picked or something like that....

Anxious to see how the combine goes and pro days. Having a Darelle Revis/ Patrick Petterson/ Talib type CB really allows you to do a lot on defense. I don't know if Heargraves is that but if he shows good , I think he has to be the pick. I think we have to keep Hardy if the price is right. Lawrence has really gotten better. We need to get that run stuffing DT in the draft. Jones played a lot of Safety today. He didn't look very solid tackling today but he is getting a ton of experience. I think the defense is close.

Offensively- RB is a ? McFadden has been as good as I think we could have hoped. I did like what Butler did today at WR. Of course back up Qb is a problem.

I just don't think we are that far away. Maybe I'm too biased. Sitting here watching the Vikings has to give any team hope as well as the Packers earlier today.

First time I saw Cook this year I was ready to call him as our future, of course I thought Dallas would be drafting much later in the draft at the time. Cook has the talant, just that in the few times I've seen him since I'm leary of a top pick on him. I won't break my TV if he's out 1st, just worried about wasting a 1st on a QB if he's a bust. You can say I still live in the days of yore when a 1st round bust especially a high 1st QB sets the franchise back years. If Romo can go another full year or two and a young future franchise QB can sit I could be sold on that idea. I'm in the win now Jerry mode and see a run stuffing DT as the prime need. Yes QB is a major need too. DT, QB or ball hawking DB in the first and I'm good. TE in the first I better walk away or risk throwing a brick at the TV.

I think hargraeves is going to be the real deal. I hear more like janoris jenkins. IDK about that. Hargraeves just looks to be a faster and I believe a smarter player. Is there a elite qb in this draft? I hope we find a way to lose next week because I don't think this draft is as top heavy as the previous few drafts

I would give up a 5th rounder for manziel. You look at the players he got to throw to this season. The Browns had very little talent

I like Cook, think the perfect scenario for him would be a place like Dallas and playing behind Romo for a couple of years. Sitting didn't hurt Romo, sure didn't hurt Rodgers...for me, if the Cowboys did draft Cook or Goff, I'd like to see them sign a veteran FA to be the backup if Romo goes down. Both of those kids have potential, but not year 1 IMO. Continue to build the D and keep that OL in place and 2017 or 2018 would be a great situation for a young QB

Might want to move the bigscreen.....It wouldn't surprise me at all if Jerry signs either RG3 or Johnny Football AND drafts a QB in the top 5. If you look at Jerry, that's the way he does things, it has to be a huge splash, the billion dollar stadium, a freaking party bus lol. The guy is a Billionaire with little man syndrome

Out of the QB mentioned to Dallas RG3 is the one I'd prefer. Don't want Manziel but at least he'd be interesting. Want no part of Crappernick

If we can get a QB that the D will fear a bit and not stack 8 in the box every play and will throw down field and yada yada yada then our D will not be on the field as long and it can cover up a bit of weakness on the D side of the ball. Nothing can cover up the weakness of the QB position IMO. But I am sure JJ will see it differently than all of us and replace dan bailey with the first pick.

Despite the injuries, I think this season really tarnishes any goodwill Garrett set up with the club and the fans. Most every team in the league has had to play with key players out in some form or fashion this season and most have been able to win a few games with their backups in. The fact that the Cowboys haven't been able to win ANY games with their backup QB just reflects on the coaching IMO. Well I guess they did beat Washington with the backup crew in, 1 game isn't enough tho.

Maybe last season was a fluke and they aren't a 10-12 win squad, but I don't think they're a 4-5 win squad either...too much talent there for that. Garrett is a 8-8 specialist, but that's not gonna get the job done in Dallas. I think Jerry gives him one more season, but if next year starts out poorly he's toast. Not a good situation for the coach to be in when the key cog is a QB that makes everyone hold their breath each time he gets hit now.

I would actually be good with RG3 if were only viewed as a backup for Romo and the Cowboys still look for a QB in the draft this year or next, whatever the round. I seriously doubt Griffin would come here knowing he might sit a couple of years and then have to compete for the job, but if he did, I think it might work out for him and the Cowboys. He needs a fresh start for sure, but he also needs to go and learn a system before being thrown to the wolves
