unfortunately for the most part talent alone doesn't do it anymore if you don't fit a certain niche or look quite right. same thing here in NOLA, so much talent and so few ever really get heard the way they should. people in the industry (writers, singers, players) know of them but unless you're willing to tour 300 nights a year....it's tough to survive.

how else do you explain someone like Johnny Sansone or Tab Benoit or Anders Osborne having such hardcore fans yet general public just goes "huh?"

Gonna be great. Meeting my GF in from Guatemala who's in town for 3 weeks at Monarch Beach Golf Course where she's staying. She and her brother, a golf pro, are trying to launch a golf concept ( that's Orange County, about 70 miles south of where I am now)

We are going to get some lunch and then chill on the beach and catch up. Haven't seen her since FL 8 years ago. I'll take some upside down shots for y'all... Gorgeous down south.

I'm introducing her to my other bestie who's got a house in Mission Viejo ( about 20 minutes north). And we are hanging out at the casa tomorrow nite, drinking libations and indulging in good eats...

Here's the course, right on the water, beautiful!

I've cut down on smoking cuz I'm trynna get a job and I don't wanna risk a failed drug test. but I still do smoke when given an opportunity, but just can't afford it right now. and I've always been into booze. I just started drinking more heavily as of recently though

Well, when you look at it from that angle, yes. I'm lazy, I suppose. Don't feel like loading up the kids and dragging them to the store. I know I'm going to, it's just a matter of time though.
