Absolutely, where you going this time? And what are you after?

Thinking about blue crab and jonesing...

Probably just over to my brothers and try some crappie fushin.

Caught about half a dozen crabs Thursday while on the job waiting for the tide to turn. We've been plucking up fresh oysters and clams and munching on those through the day. Fresh seafood is the absolute best.

Yes sir - it damn sure is.

plugged it into pandora last night after reading all ya'lls posts and listened for about 2 or 3 hours. Really nice change. Sounded more like the country and bluegrass that I grew up on. A little rough around the edges but real. I'm gonna have to familiarize myself with some of the bands and/or artist so i can get some for the iPod.

You suck...and apparently on good shellfish and crustaceans. Very jealous. Miss that about summers in MD, big time.

I somehow imagine you just strolling out your front door to a pier and pulling up a crab pot with dinner... Or jumping in a small boat and catching fish for breakfast. Living the dream Edisto, living the dream.

How is your vacation going so far?

So great. Sitting on a patio right now, enjoying coffee. Last night, indulged in some amazing Pinot Noirs. Funny how convo gets better after the first bottle... ;). My GF and I are avid 'pinotphiles'.

And LEAVE that comment alone Edisto...I know you're laughing right now...

Cross Canadian Ragweed were the early purveyors. I recommend two albums by them. "Highway 377" and "Soul Gravy". Those two albums are my favorites and still stand the test years later.

not too far from the truth. I have to travel a bit for the crab pot, but I do have a boat in the water at my bro's house and my step dad keeps his boat in the water at my mom's house and I go pretty regularly. I don't have any other hobbies/activities though. It's what I do. When I have free time, i go fishin. I'm simple like that.

Nothing simple about appreciating nature and the great outdoors. Provides the space and time to keep the world in order, IMO.

I heard those guys somewhere. Can't place it but someone I know has it. I'll certainly check them out. I've been looking for something new. I'm burnt out on classic rock and classic country. I need some new tunes.

What exactly is the definition of 'red dirt' music? Sounds like a cross between country and bluegrass...

I just heard about it last night on this thread. Plugged in "Red Dirt Radio" on pandora and listened for hours. I don't think there are too many specifics to the genre. It's very "rangey" ( yes, I just made-up that word). Through Bluegrass, Americana, Folk, Country, and a few other spices in and blend. Open the spout and smooth sounds pour out.
