Hey fellas!

Do you think our defense will be improved especially with Orakpo, Caricker, Merriweather and Nield all coming back from season ending injuries? I will say this I think our passrush should be improved/much better.

I hope Carriker comes back. Not so sure he will to be honest. But I like who we will be getting back. People are sleeping on Meriweather. And I'm very interested in seeing what the rookies will bring.

Orakpo is obviously the biggest key. From everything I've heard he's running around at a different speed than everyone else. Probably a lot of pent up frustration from watching the team get to the playoffs without him.

we will force a lot of turnovers but still give up a lot of yards. im hoping for a middle of the pack defense next year.

IM hoping Carriker comes back. But I think you guys are sleeping on Merling if Carriker doesnt get back healthy. One thing Haslett has shown an ability to do is a reclamation project when it comes to d-Lineman. three years ago Carriker was considered a bust. But its obvious how much we missed him last year. I think Merling makes a strong push at a roster spot, and only loses out if carriker is healthy and in shape by final cuts.

And yes I think our defense will be much improved over last year.

Middle of the pack would be awesome. You'd think with the guys returning we would help us improve some, but it's always tough to do that. Because in your mind you think, well we did okay without these 3 guys. But the trouble is the likelihood is that we have several injuries again. What if Kerrigan or Wilson is hurt in the first couple games?

So I'd guess we'll be slightly improved from last year, but about the same. I still think our secondary is pretty weak.

I do think our depth is improving. We lacked depth for so long, it's refreshing to see guys get hurt and have mostly competent guys replacing them.

lot of ifs here but if we can get to middle of the pack and even if our offense takes a small step back and finishes in the lower half of top 10 in offense it will be a great season.

I really believe so, any team that loses their best pass rusher, defensive lineman, and starting safety will struggle. It puts a lot of pressure on the secondary, so with those players returning hopefully our secondary can have more success.

I watched the replay on shortcuts, my God NOBODY covered in the middle of the field, Our LB's are slow as hell, I'm getting sick of this 3-4 defense too.

Another thing I noticed People have been non stop about Griffin's ACL/MCL surgery and how he's still not 100% but Merriweather went thru Surgery too and he's not 100% either, he's late on tackles and seems like he not quite all the way there yet either, a big problem in our secondary.

Merriweather was in college but an average joe in the pro's
