And become GREAT coordinators!!!!!!!!! Gruden needs to focus on getting better with play calling and get his offense into the top 12 at least.....

Zimmer needs to work on staying consistent...

NEITHER should talk about a Head Coach job!

That's ridiculous. In the fact that you think someone shouldn't have higher aspirations and the fact that you're suggesting they're even thinking about it at this point in time, let alone talking about it.

yea, I think they would first need to fix the leaking sieve of a defense and inept offense before moving on to coach another team.

Who's going to hire them?

I think all the talk has probably been squelched for at least a few weeks.

I'd argue the offense was really not inept last night. I thought Gruden called a really good game.

I agree....even a mediocre defensive effort and the game would have been close......

The defense was a joke, but the offense wasn't really playoff caliber, we had bright spots though (BJGE not being that bad, Hawkins getting more involved, some good plays here and there)

I don't agree Dan. I think we had a playoff caliber running game, OL, and #1 and slot WR. The only thing really disappointing to me was the TE position

I thought Gruden did a great job. He ate up the clock and kept the Ravens off the field while getting the team back in the game. There is only so much you can do though..... The offense started to press and that's what led to turnovers. Who could blame them? They knew they had to basically score on every drive to even keep it close.

we might score more points against Cleveland, if so, maybe I'll change my mind.

Gruden was declining HC interviews this past offseason. Zimmer's been a DC for close to 15 yrs so of course he's looking for his shot to coach. He's been one of the brightspots here during his entire tenure here..

Last night was about Flacco looking like he's ready to take the next step, and the Bengals fielding one of the worst secondaries in the leauge.

They went out of their way to field one of the worst secondaries in the league......they aggressively pursued Newman and Allen, one a has been and one a never was........

Where is Odell Thurman? Sign him back, he has to still be better than Maualuga.

I would be better than Maualuga, if only because I'm too damned slow to over pursue......I could at least get to the right spot, then fall down if front of the ball carrier.......

How long will that style of offense work? How long can you go with only one player running more than 15 yards down the field? It won't be long before it's all on film. While Hawkins will continue to get yards, in a few weeks it won't be 80+ yards on 60+ yac. And it'll put that much more pressure on Dalton as if he doesn't have enough already with the team sorely needing a #2.

I didn't think the offense pressing was the cause of the turnovers. The interception wasn't a forced throw, it was just a bad throw. And the fumble was the lack of options as described above forcing Dalton to take it up the middle himself.

reflection on play calling with Jay Gruden...reflection on what players are in the scheme....

if we look this bad then we need to play Sanu and Jones ASAP....Bet Marvin is holding them back.....

yep.

draft weapons, then let them sit in favor of lack-luster "veterans" ... one of which had never played an NFL RS game.
