Usually after four games it's apparent whether the team is pretty good or not, this team I just don't know. At least they aren't pulling a Texas.

I guess my assessment is they're capable of doing something special, but there's still work to be done.

This team has a 2000 type chip on their shoulder. How long has it been since we've seen a defense come in a take control of the game the way the defense did yesterday? Yes the gave up 200 yards rushing but most of those yards came on two big plays. This defense is what the Sooners have been missing for years. An attacking style defense that turns the ball over. Bell is only going to get better as the season progresses and the run defense will get stronger too. The only problem the Sooners have this season is the conference they play in. Okie St. losing yesterday hurt us almost as bad as it did them. We need some top ranked teams to play down the stretch. All Sooner fans need to be Baylor and Tech fans the rest of the way. We need Baylor undefeated for that Thursday night showdown so we can destroy them. We also need ND to win the rest of their games. We need wins over at least 4 top 25 ranked teams in the final poll to make an argument for OU to be in the dance.

Once they got TK out as QB this team has done nothing but get better. The defense has shown no signs of the usual breakdowns against weaker opponents we have been used to over the past several years. It's still early but I have a really good feeling about where this team is headed. They may have to wait one more season to compete for an NC but this is the type of team that can win it all. How would an undefeated season without OU in the NCG sound to you guys? The bias in the media and SEC shills at ESPN could make this a reality this season.

That's exactly it right there. Win this week's game is all they need to worry about. You can't control any of that other stuff, and if Oklahoma were to go undefeated this year there would have to be two other undefeated teams to even have a chance at keeping us out.

Oregon is one team I think has a great shot at going undefeated, but Stanford and UCLA will be big tests for them. Ohio state looks like a team primed to drop a game against a sub par conference opponent. Clemson, and FSU will have to play one another, and bama has to get through an LSU team that has already lost, and most likely a one loss Georgia team. So again I say, Oklahoma needs to worry about winning their game each week and the rest will take care of itself.

No doubt it's Bell's team but it's nice to have a really good backup when needed. And Knight will get reps more than likely against KU and ISU, and maybe KSU.

Absolutely. Keep knight in the loop. We may very well need him before it's all said and done. Like you said, when Bell went down, knight came in and was a weapon that stoops immediately deployed.

ND had so many chances to come back and take that game over and OU would respond with a punch in the mouth every time. It's awesome to see OU not cave after a mistake like I've seen for years.

I'm not going to overhype this young team with NC hopes or expect them to go undefeated as long as Josh is calling plays... he's pathetic and I cant wait till someone with some authority figures this out and sends him packing. I'll wish him the best of luck.

I don't think anyone is going overboard, just yet anyway. Like I said, I'm still concerned about the defense, too many big plays being made by the other teams worries me.
