Baby Flames (Abbotsford Heat) pull off two road wins against Rochester to move on to the next round (face Hamilton) as the AHL playoffs continue.

Calgary Hitmen are in the WHL finals against the Tri-City Americans. Winner of that series joins the Wheat Kings for the Memorial Cup tourney in May in Brandon, Manitoba.

yesterday I heard an interview with Scott Arniel (Manitoba Moose coach) and he was praising the vancouver canucks organization for the way they have developed players and all the things they do to put their players in the position to succeed

None of these glowing comments surprised me until i figured out it wasnt Arniel being interviewed, it was actually Jim Playfair doing the interview. lol

he's itching to get out of that organization

I am in the BOOK IT mood so Ill say if Arniel gets an NHL job (CBJ asked for permission to interview him) and Playfair doesnt parlay his blazer ripping display into an NHL head coaching job, he'll be coaching in winnipeg (ahl) next year

Do Olaf Kolzig and Stu Barnes still co-own the Tri-City team or am I way behind the times?

Yeah, they still do. Barnes even lives in the area I believe. Not sure about Kolzig though.

With Tri-City being an American based team, I sure hope FSN picks up this series. I'd love to watch it.

are the canucks ever on fox sports northwest?

No, they don't show any NHL games on FSNW. Pretty sad really. They didn't even start carrying WHL games until last season. This year they only showed 7 or 8 regular season games and they picked up game 7 between Spokane and Portland, but that's been it.

Is the SWX deal in sync with the FSN deal?
