With the birth of his son this year, I can actually emphathise with DJax' decision. He did an interview recently mentioning how important that was to him to have that family time and how challenging it was to deal with flights coast to coast, since his son is in Cali. And he actually showed up for a few OTAs this year.

As he has NEVER been an OTA guy (son or not) and as long as he shows up fit and ready to rumble for the season, I'm not bothered.

I will give no props to Larry Michael other than if Dan makes a hard left Larry will have a broken nose. My statement wasn't based on that interview but years of his overly blatant homerism.

Like I said before, I am not mad at DJax but I know something about team building in sport and the military. Those folks don't get a chance to say "I won't go on that 9 month cruise" or that year "in country." I don't remember them saying to my nephew "it is optional whether you want to go into that African country full of disease to help keep order." Then send him home after and keep him in isolation for weeks in a row why his wife and kids were living not far down the street.

I know he and many others have done it is optional thing. Good for them. I don't have to like or agree with it.
