All of my friends are gamers. Admittedly I haven't played games since the SNES days and kind of thought the newer style game were to advanced for me. But I have seen all of those shooters and such and have to admit they are very impressive.

Anyway a few of them are going to get my a console for Christmas they told me. Just wanted to know which one of them has the best selection of games and is the best quality in general.

If you want to throw away $50 a year for the same thing you get for free on PS3, then Id go Xbox.

Wii sucks online wise. Zelda FTW

I consider the PS3 and 360 to be better than the Wii. Nintendo is good if you want to play franchises like Zelda etc. As far as the PS3 and 360 go they both have their strong points. When it comes to running games, they are about the same. I find the 360 tends to have a slightly better selection of games, at least ones that I'm interested in. That will obviously vary from person to person though. The PS3 has the blu-ray, but I don't use my consoles to play movies so that's a non-issue for me.

I slightly prefer the 360 but between the 360 and the PS3 you really can't go wrong with either. If you do get a 360 make sure to get the elite version. It's ridiculous how much quieter the fan is.

From a graphics standpoint, thats like admitting you like like blu ray over vhs. :D

I gree with Auto

Wii for me, as its the only controller lil biz can handle at this point. And he loves having light sabre battle, which the wii is awesome for.

Have 360, maybe spent 2 hours total on it in the past 3 years (old, married, kid)

Thinking about getting a PS3 to not either play instead though... the graphics engine in it is ridonkulous.

Why? It's free and it works well. I play Call of Duty on it and it works great. I don't get into the whole this system is better than another. I used to have an Xbox 360. Have a Wii now. My brother has a PS3 that I've played a bunch of times. All of the them are awesome. The 360/PS3 has more complex games, graphics, etc. Honestly, even though it's a little more simple, the Wii is really FUN to play. Frankly, games that are just fun to sit down and play for 20-30 minutes here and there are much better for me at this point than really involved, deep games. But to each his own.

My biggest complaint from playing World at War on the Wii was friend codes. It is an awful system. I wish you would just have a Wii-username, maybe incorporate your Mii in one way or another, and use it for online. That and microphones. Wii Speak just seems strange, and if I remember you also need a friend code just to talk to somebody.

I have a PS3, and it is a kick ass Blu ray player, and online is free.

Problem is their online service is often down, and since it's free you get all manner of brat in there. I play Gran Turismo online and sometimes get so angry I throw the controller. Stuff like kids waiting until lap 45 of a 50 mile race before they turn around and go against the flow of traffic because they are losing. It's annoying.

I used to play Need For Speed Shift on my PC (Dual Quad Core, SSD Drive, 24GB of RAM, and 2GB Video) and the game played smoother on the PS3. It's a pretty phenomenal machine. I'm actually going to buy another for the bedroom because it plays netflix and other media off my server.

Although if XBox played Blu Ray, I'd get one of those to try Forza Motorsport and Halo...

I have an addition question on this. I have been researching them and notice they all have different GB capacities. Does this mean if I get an Xbox with only 4GB I can't play any game that has more than that(such as Bioshock or something)?
