nice.... that N Korean dude will have his pick of concubines back home.
Good for them.

I'm just a little concerned that Kim Jung will feel a little too proud tonight and decide to bomb Japan or S Korea in celebration

WOW! I just got home and watched the highlights. That's a sick goal. The ESPN commentators said the goalie made a mistake, but I think he played it right - you are much more in danger from a cross than a shot like that which would rarely go in.

Rep. point for Puckhead for the Vuvuzela sonata. That is hilarious stuff.

whats everyones impression of the cup so far ... lots of the "experts" have said its been kinda underwhelming and I agree. Hopefully the players just needed that 1 game to get used to the new ball

the thing I find most disconcerting is I dont think any game has had any edge/hate. (and please dont respond with "its soccer ... you expect edginess?" - lol - just look at Argentina/Italy way way back in the day) With the exception of Ivory Coast and Portugal when Ronaldo dove and then was confronted and then showed the world he knows how to say fuck off, there really has been nothing.

i dont know if its because FIFA's fair play propaganda has castrated everyone or because of the sports professionalism with almost every player being a millionaire who at one point has played together with the opposing millionaire on club teams. Australia's Tim Cahill is pleading for leniency for the red card he got against germany and the german he fouled to get the red card has written a formal letter to fifa saying that the red card against Cahill was too harsh ... jeesh ... yah yah yah blah blah blah nice sportmanship ... give me a game with some hate!!!!

The one thing with all these draws is it should lead to some desperation soccer in the coming matches. Or at least it should!

To me it seems like everyone is just playing too safe, not wanting to give away the tournament in the opening game.
