Scotchy Scotch Scotch!
started playing far cry 5 again and I gotta say.. way too many similarities to what's happening in the USA right now. lol...
I finished this tonight. Overall I liked it, it got better towards the end. Basically looking back - main story missions were mostly fun with a variety of things to do. Side missions, contracts, etc - pretty boring. Decent story too, but it takes a while to get going.Star Wars Outlaws - it's fine. It's seems I'm about 20% done, it's mostly fun. It's also kind of clunky. At certain times there's no clear direction on what you should do, which is fine but in a big open world(s) that leads to getting halfway up a cliff then hitting an invisible barrier.
Also a decent amount of stealth, which is not my strong suit. I'd say that's kind of messed up too but it might just be me. Fear not, if you are sneaking in someplace to steal a specific object and get caught - make a mad dash for it. If killed-caught you'll still have the object.
Also the data spike door opening (lockpicking) is awful. I turned it to easy for a while then turned it off. Just not fun and super annoying
Cool I'll pick it up thanks for the playthrough experienceI finished this tonight. Overall I liked it, it got better towards the end. Also for some reason I got the season pass, the first DLC was one of the better quests in the game IMO.
Good game then?Indiana Jones And The Lost Circle...... what a beginning, I did not know.
South America 1936
I hope this is great and everyone who buys it likes it.....but I hate how remasters are such a big thing. Just make a new game.Well hello......
looks like I can leave Skyrim for a while now
I am still playing Skyrim and never played Oblivion that I remember. I thought I did but I guess not and for some reason I thought back then it was online only and I am not into those online games that much... I have played Skyrim for over 10 years and I agree with you that making a new game is best but with the way they make games these days the attention span of most young gamers is 7-8 hours total in a game (unless its minecraft) and they don't want story mode (it is all about online maps) so the appetite for the massive undertaking of a game so robust and large as the oblivion/skyrim open world is probably WAY too expensive these days so why not remaster and create new DLC to further build the world. The original creator of Oblivion has been working on this game since the mid 90s and still adding to it. I am all for itI hope this is great and everyone who buys it likes it.....but I hate how remasters are such a big thing. Just make a new game.
Development time is insane now too. Hey if you like this game, just wait! There will be a sequel in 7 or 8 years! Just try to make a fun game and focus less on what it looks like. It's not going to look great in 3-4 years anyway.
I did not just mean this one, every big game from 20 years ago seems to have a remaster in the works. If its adding something new, thats cool IMO I guess, a lot of them are not adding much except looks. And at least me, I'd rather play something new than something I played 15 years ago that looks better.I am still playing Skyrim and never played Oblivion that I remember. I see your points.... maybe I look at the way the CAll of duty campaigns are and I dont think I have ever played longer than 8-9 hours for a story game.I did not just mean this one, every big game from 20 years ago seems to have a remaster in the works. I dont agree about the attention span of gamers and not wanting stories. When Call Of Duty did not have a campaign a few years ago, sales were down. GTAV and Red Dead Redemption 2 have really long stories and sold well. They both have some online components but 72% of GTAV players finished the campaign and thats super long. Even the new Assassins Creed has sold very well and its really long and has no online play.
I can only speak for myself, but if a game is only 7-8 hours total - that's too short and better be cheap. Flip side 80 hours is too long, that feels like work.
It's probably just me, complaining because I want new stuff instead of old. Obviously these are money makers since they are all doing them.
lol. to be fair the original Oblivion is 19 years agoGotta scale back the scotch a little during a gaming sesh then, bro.![]()
You played Borderlands didnt you? They were pretty long if I remember correctly.I see your points.... maybe I look at the way the CAll of duty campaigns are and I dont think I have ever played longer than 8-9 hours for a story game.
the longest being World at War. I would love modern tech to make a brand new Skyrim/Obilvion so I am on board for that. I agree on the remaster overall as well. I bought the Dead Space remastered and honestly felt like I spent $80 on the exact same game but just on a faster console. was not worth it but then Halo remastered was worth every penny so I am that sucker lol

Its probably me, a friend of mine has given me many emulators where I could play games we played growing up. I play for maybe 5 minutes then, thats enough.
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is odd. After playing the opening sequence as Indy, the rest of the game you play as Marcus Brody.
I like COD online for a while then I am done. Awful at it though, and getting worse every year. Its fun for me for a while. Thats probably the only thing I really play online.I liked the Diablo II remake. I think if it makes a game available on a console that you couldn’t previously play it on, there is some value there
But if it’s just a minor graphics upgrade, that doesn’t do much for me
I am old and don’t play anything online. So I’m all about the long story, world exploring games
Multiplayer shooters do nothing for me. So I only get a new game every year or two. Then play the hell out of it
This thread makes me want to play Skyrim again
BL3 I finished, not sure why. Its not good.yeah
BL1 GREAT
BL2 AMAZING
BL the pre-sequel (trash)
BL3 I dont know anymore as I stopped playing so the story did not hold my interest
that is so Bizarre about the Indy game. but they did that with Avengers where you only play as the Avengers for small portions but its all Ms. Marvel
how far are you into playing Marcus Brody?
