Dead Island 2 while much more updated in graphics and game play has alot of the same style bugs as Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide. It does lack in story length and side quests and while the previous games were also not open world they were much larger in scope. I ignored the reviews of the previous games and I am glad I did because I enjoyed them alot and played them through many times over. I have the same feeling for this one as well . I really enjoy it

I will get it. Need to finish Jedi Fallen Order and Marvel Midnight Suns. Also playing a lot of MLB.

I do like it but it took me some time. You choose a team and each team member has cards you can play. So it's not actual fighting combat but more strategy card playing.

I would not think I would like it, but I do. It's got a decent story and is different from what I normally play.

I've seen a couple of reviews that mention the story is a huge part of the game and some people like it and some don't.

The cards seem like an action selection randomizer but your actions are better when you use them. Like the reverse of Xcom. That part looks fun

I am not used to these types of games so it took me a little while to choose each character's cards. Each character might have 15 cards but you can only equip 8 at a time. Some are pure attack, some protect and or heal squad mates. So that took a while for me to best equip my team.

Once I got into it I really liked it. It's a nice change of pace from what I normally play.

Dead Island 2 has a feature like this. Your skill tree is built with cards and each section you can equip one of so many but can change them at will to match some areas you have trouble with. A little annoying at first but once you figure out the pattern its pretty cool and handy

how many hours?
I am not sure. I'll check later. I did find the game hard and did turn down the difficulty.

I may or may not go back to some areas to finish finding things.

one of the biggest regrets I had not doing that on the first one. I then loaned my disc to a friend and he scratched the shit out of it so I can't install it again. :(

well that was a freaking blast. I enjoyed it quite a bit, only thing was that my character became max level before I hit the final boss and had some kick ass extra skills and upgraded weapons. finished him easy. now I am just mopping up LA with missed treasures and side quests (glad I could continue after)

just a fantastic game @Comeds
