It's a never ending Universe where everyone playing is within it. It may take a while to team up with buddies. as you have to upgrade your ship to be able to travel at warp speed to other areas of the Universe,


Holy fuck... This game is going to own me.

reading some notes on it from gameboys, some guys have the perfect comment with the general message.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GAME IS READY FOR RELEASE. DO NOT RUSH IT.


this is the kind of game that can change things for gamers. if they release it in a rush to get it out with the bugs they think are minor (as egos get that way with programmers) it could fail spectacularly (see Star Wars Galaxies) this game can be so much

I got about halfway through playing The Last of Us and then stopped playing it about a year ago. Nothing in particular, just got busy with other stuff and forgot about it. I started playing it again about a week ago.

Well, my PS3 crashed (it was my fault, long story, and I welcome your ridiculous and inappropriate suggestions as to how it crashed - hint: somebody gets pregnant!) and I had to start over the game and I'm about halfway back to where I was.

So, at this rate, I should beat this thing by 2017. So please, no spoilers over the next three years.

Uhhh... SPOILER ALERT!! Dicks.

To be fair, I spent a lot longer trying to get Tess pregnant than I probably needed to. I mean, they don't come right out and give you that mission in the game, but it's pretty obviously implied. For WEEKS I made NO progress because of that. Couldn't even get one piece of clothing off of her in the game. This game is a joke.

So I finished the Last of Us. Man that is a good game with a GREAT story line. The finishing battle in the hospital was intense.

The only thing is that it's kind of tedious sometimes. I hated having to look in every room for stuff or getting the ladder in just the right spot. But the combat is so well done. The opponents are so smart and you really have to think your way through the battles.

But the ending... WHAT THE FUCK, JOEL?!?!? Any thoughts from you guys that finished it on the final scenes of the game?

It is my favorite game ever. Which is saying a lot, because I also played Super Mario Bros.

I actually enjoyed the collecting aspect. My kids referred to it as "stuff and things." (if you watch The Walking Dead this reference may make sense)

The game was pretty grim throughout, but I loved how isolated I felt and the fact that weapons and ammo were so precious. You just couldn't fire your way through.

I had no problem with the impregnation mission, but I've got game, if you know what I mean.

I thought it ended as it should have. But man was I scratching my head at first.

I do not disagree with what he did, I might even think it was the right thing to do. To me there was no guarantee the 'cure' would work. Plus the fact that Ellie was not making the decision herself. If she would have been awake first and chosen her fate (which she would have) then I think it would have been different. The Fireflies were no angels, I am not sure what I feel they would have done with the cure. And could he do that after what happened to his daughter and after Ellie saved him a couple times?

I loved how Ellie got hardened throughout the game and Joel softened.

I loved the giraffe scene and the final scene.
