The gameplay itself is tighter with some new controls and such, but not as scary.

I agree. I found it to be a bit more action oriented, a bit less scary. Less things jumping out or coming up from behind you.

I think I need to pick up one of those Age of Empire games... I miss strategy warfare gaming. I dont think my laptop can play the modern ones, lol, almost time to upgrade.

Really looking forward to RE6, sounds like it will be pretty awesome.

Liking what I've read about the four player co-op sections where you and your co-op partner can be randomly matched up with another co-op pairing.

Yeah, I found that it was worth a second playthrough as well.

Have fun with Dead Space 2 afterwards also. I would recommend jumping right into it because it continues the story pretty nicely, so you'll remember what happened better.

LOVED Dead Space, liked DS2. As everyone said not nearly as scary as the first. I'm not too proud to admit that I jumped a few times playing the first one at 2 am in a pitch black living room.

Might want to rethink DS3. I totally did a /facepalm when I read this...

I jumped a lot playing Dead Space. I would only play it an hour at a time because I'd get jumpy.

Man, it's like if Resident Evil changed from a survival horror to an action third-person shooter OH WAIT.

Picked up Skyrim from where I left off eighteen months ago. Played for 30 minutes and got to a cutscene which bugged out on me.

Man...

Excited about new gaming TV. My old one was a 34" CRT that accepted 1080 and 480 signals. If a game was in 720 it would display the game at standard definition. More importantly it would crop a ton from the sides of the screen. In Madden I could not see the WR if he was near the sideline. That led to plenty of pick 6s. In NHL I couldnt see all of the ice and had to guess where players would be. Many a night that really pissed online people off because I would often pass to no one or worse a member of the opposite team.

New TV is here and set up, video gaming outlook looks great but marriage health looks not so great. "Not now hon (I'm from Baltimore) I have to smash this zombies head in with a boat oar"

Quite refreshing to play the games in the format they are supposed to be in with no huge cropping. For those of you that have played Dead Island (or GTA4) the minimap that displays objectives in both games was partially cut off on my old TV. Its not even close to the edge on the new one.

Here is a quick question, does anyone with a somewhat recent LCD or LED TV use "game mode"? My old TV was a CRT so I never needed one, messing with it a bit so far and I am not seeing any difference - though I haven't really noticed any lag.
