Given how hard the ground is right now because of the recent drought I’m a little scared.


Yesterday our backyard creek went from very little to quite a lot. The edges are very dry and if they don't get some wet to them, if the creek rises much more it will eat the banks quickly.

We move boulders in the summer to reinforce places but you can only do so much.

And sure as shit, today it is wild and woolly out there. We've had no power all morning. Trees have come down in my back 40 and the branches from the stressed maple trees are dropping too.

Sure hope power sorts itself out before Thursday Night football. Big sporting weekend with the Mexican GP as well.

They said the island would probably get the worst of the weather this weekend. Hope it works out.
