Scotchy Scotch Scotch!
I haven't read the conversation, but that highest board looks to be around 30 meters (100 feet approx.) above the water.
we were in Cancun and decided to go to Chichén Itzá and on the way we stopped at Cenote Ik Kil
Cenote Ik Kil is one of the most beautiful of the natural wells that stud the jungle of the Yucatan Peninsula. Tour the incredible Mayan ruins of nearby Chichén Itzá and then cool off with a dip in these vibrant turquoise waters. Get a sense of why the Mayans considered the cenotes to be sacred places.
I decided to dive off the cliff for the natural well which apparently was REALLY deep. someone said it was bottomless which when I went into the water and went under it was the blackest water I had ever seen so maybe its possible. (kinda creepy)
when I finally dove into the water I climbed the stairs and decided to go to the highest point which I thought was 50 ft.
it was NOT 50 ft, it was 150ft and when I jumped off I thought I was falling a long time for 50 ft. only reason I knew it was 150 was my wife took this picture that of me jumping with the sign reading 150 ft ... I decided to do it 3 more times..
anyway Chichén Itzá was also spectacular
