We managed to get off pretty much scot-free where I am on the island - Can't say the same for poor Russell Farms which has been flooded out again (same thing happened about two years ago).

Just one more example of the need for a bridge over the Saanich Inlet to provide another way for people to get up/down to Victoria when the Malahat is shut down. And I don't what to hear about the Brentwood Bay/Mill Bay ferry because that ferry can transport a grand total of 18 cars lol

A burnaby hockey team was in a tournament in kelowna this weekend … 3 families are still stuck there.

One family was stranded on the east side of the mudslide. Everyone else except that one family made it back. They were an hour behind the team convoy coming back because they had to charge their Tesla in Princeton. They ended up getting evac’d by the military helicopter yesterday because they had their 4 kids in tow. The Tesla is parked on the side of the highway

I don't think the moat is supposed to be that large at Castle Fun Park.

For those not familiar with the area, that overpass is passing over the TransCanada Highway.
i.e. the ONLY road connection Vancouver and the Lower Mainland has to the rest of the country.

stock up on TP and whatnot

You could go 99 north on duffy lake road and then come down and connect to highway 1 but alas those highways are gone too.

The I5 through bellingham also had mudslides yesterday but there are lanes open so if you needed to go east today here is the route

That is going to take months if not years to fully repair. I mean, they will probably get something temporarily in place in six months because it is an important corridor.

Yeah. I'm surprised we good here.

My mom delivers flowers to the westshore. She said driving up Bear Mountain was like going against the current of a river.

Funny thing. We stopped, thinking that power was going to be out for a while, at admirals walk Thriftys to get dinner. Roasted Chicken and deli salad, not to use fridges...,

Within 5 minutes of us being home.... power came back

I haven’t really seen whether Hope Princeton highway has been as devastated as the coq. It had flooding too not sure if it’s as irreparable right now though

I know of 2 weddings next year. One in May and one in July.

May is supposed to be at the Frasier River Lodge.

Me thinks that might change.
