Ive been told this is a new thing as the younger demos are now getting their vaccines but the clinics now have selfie rooms (saw it myself yesterday lol) where people can do their insta shit after they leave the 15 minute post shot waiting area

i was just asked to hang around the London Drugs for 15 minutes or so.
but i don't have to check in before i leave
and it doesn't really need to be 15 minutes.
so really, whatevs.

did not take a selfie.
i might when i hit my first pub in 400+ days though.

The waiting area isnt mandatory... i saw people make a beeline for the exit. Precautionary in case anyone has some crazy instant reaction to the shot

I was in the front door at 4:01 yesterday... couldnt even fill my paperwork out in time in the “line”. Shot at 4:06. I was like wow that was fast .. where the fuck is everyone?

Follow the arrows to the waiting room and it was packed lol chairs shoulder to shoulder (albeit with partitions between).

I swear if i end up getting covid the next few days its because of that roomlol

For just that day is a stretch but limited quantities for two or three days is definitely possible and in many contracts mandated due to the lack of on-site storage space.

Anyway, any job that doesn't have site security is dumb.

walking my dog I go past 4 or 5 work sites in various stages.
(for the non-locals, any house older than 15-20 years gets torn down for a brand new one)

piles of lumber are on pretty much all of them (well, fewer now, maybe).
talking to some developers i know, they are stalling their builds hoping the raw material prices will come back to earth.
So while they are waiting on copper pricing to come down, someone is stealing their lumber that they bought four months ago.


I'm just glad they leave those massive dumpsters on the street so I can clean out my garage.

We gotta get a new roof, our deck surface has reached the end of its lifespan and my fascia looks like shit (fascia not face!). Im fucked ! My wifes solution to these increased building materials prices is to blow out the south wall of our house and add another 1200 square feet to our house

Yeah I think it's going to get much worse before it gets better, too. We've been pricing about 2x as much work as we were before the pandemic both here and in Ontario and we were booming in those times too. Whatever the reason people are building and building big and I don't think we've scratched the surface of shortages.

He's 91 today and Brent and I are surprising him with a visit to feed him lunch.

First contact aside from ZOOM since April 12 last year.

He's had 2 Modernas, we've each had one, but masks, protocols, temp checks, etc will all be performed and followed.

They said 4 when I first got shot and have not made inquiries if it's changed.

I didnt inquire about it. If you have your bc govt health gateway account set up you can go in there and it gives forecasted updates ... yesterday it was 4 months and today its 3 for me ... hopefully tomorrow its 2 months lol
