This is where I’m not too sure what people expect. It’s pretty clear there’s sections of the population that barely bought in on the early lockdowns and sure as shit aren’t going to do so now.

Then if you try doing what Ontario wanted to do and give police authority to crack down harder on the rule breakers you get backlash from literally everybody (and yeah Ford didn’t even fucking consult the police on his plans but if compliance is what we’re after I’m not sure what alternative there is at this point).

So what exactly do people want done here? Set rules but don’t enforce them? Trust people who clearly can’t be trusted? Meanwhile the ICU’s overflow and people avoid vaccines because of overblown blood clot concerns?

A UBC student is urging others to think twice before judging a car and its driver based on its licence plates after a note was left on the vehicle, telling the woman to go back to Ontario.
