First episode was excellent. Engrossing show. Filmed beautifully. I almost feel like they could have pitched this to discovery network a la “border security” or “highway thru hell” and gotten a permanent solution to their funding woes ... and never have to debate charging lost hikers for their rescues again

/and those volunteers are true dedicated heroes !

When I was 13, our swim team went to the BC Championships at UBC, held at outdoor Empire Pool.

After the day was over we were allowed to goof off a bit. Including the boards and towers.

I jumped from the 10 meter tower in my speedo. My legs were a fair bit apart when I smacked into the water.

My nuts were like a gaucho's bola flopping around.

I had to be pulled from the water by life guards.

I don't even like a 1 metre diving board these days.

Very carefully and painfully. I've been squeezed in like that in the upper deck of the Queen of Alberni ferry.

I just about had fisticuffs with a ferry employee when they wanted to put my large car next to the escape ramp that allows cars to exit visa the lower deck. I couldn't open doors so I just stopped. The worker was yelling at me and I simply got out, locked my doors and went up stairs.

They've turned those spots into places for people to sit with their dogs now.

In the most severe cases (ie: that refugee camp of a stretch on East Hastings) this is basically de facto policy. There needs to be a better plan for outreach and recovery because this place sucks at it and it's getting worse, not better, and yeah the federal government really needs to take a leading role here - it's much more important than the amount of time and resources they spent legalizing weed.

My Dad's facility is locked down for CORONA. A staff member tested positive.o ZOOMs or anything. Again.

Supposedly no contact with my Dad but eh way this virus spreads...

It’s like that old shampoo commercial, I told 2 friends and they told 2 friends, etc.

So we’re anxious for sure.
