Obviously I don't think the Sabres have any chance at winning this year, but I found it to be an interesting thought exercise just the same. Based on the current roster they wouldn't qualify because Gionta won it way back in 2003 with the Devils.

Looked it up. He was, but was traded at the deadline. Not sure if his name is on the cup or not.

Traded well before the deadline actually, he only played 22 games for the Bs that year. I doubt he's on the Cup with that.

Let's Go Rangers.

Technically, Antti Raanta has a ring and got a day with the cup, but his name isn't on it. He was on the Hawks roster, but didn't dress in the playoffs.

So I wonder who could be the next team(s) to do it (if they win this year?)

I am thinking the Flyers nor Canucks have anyone who has won it before.

Maybe Nashville?

Toronto perhaps, if you don't count Horton.

Penguins?.....oh wait nevermind. :suds: Sorry the obnoxious Pittsburgh hockey fan came out of me for a second.

Seriously though I thought the Canadiens but Andrew Shaw is on their roster.
