I don't even get what she was trying to do. Was she just trying to twerk or was she prepping herself to spring on top of the pavement like a cat wiggles its ass before leaping on top of a mouse?

She was clearly kidnapped and beaten in hawaii

This is an interesting result, though its practical applications aren't clear yet. Plane wave photons still move at a constant speed in free space, but it looks like they simply developed a way to use diffraction in a hollow medium to play with the propagation vector components. It has the speed reduction effect of refraction without changing the beam path.

I would wonder if something like this could be used to improve precision in time-resolved experiments...

In any case, no physics has been broken, so nobody panic!

Planet With Supersized Rings

This planet, roughly 40 times the size of Jupiter, has rings 200 times the size of Saturn's, and they would cover the distance between the Earth and Sun.

That is fascinating. I agree that the explanation that we have caught the planet in a relatively brief stage of its development that allows this analysis to be plausible is a bit dubious but at the same time extremely exciting. If true, I imagine Saturn had much larger rings prior to the full formation of its moons.

Too bad the planet has such a long orbit, I would be interested to see if the subsequent passes would validate these findings.

I heard it only cost an extra 49 cents to supersize the rings on that planet...
