Super fun game. Takes you into google maps anywhere in the world and you have to guess where you are based on the scenery. I did well on a few, but gosh Russia is a huge freaking country.
So, I was at hockey practice yesterday afternoon with the select team. I have ranted on a few occasions about how much of a hassle it is to pick a team when parents keep getting involved and losing their minds when their precious little snowflake doesn't make it.
Anyways, we decided that the "Select" kids who are also playing house should be one "Major" team in order to keep them playing together all season so they can gel. We don't have enough other kids to make another major team without completely ruining the "minor" teams, so we decided one major / three minor. Spread the remaining talent evenly.
The program coordinator for the travel program threw a bit of a hissy because he's been getting backlash about why certain kids aren't on the "Major" team (Simple - they didn't try out for select). And the guy who runs the whole youth hockey program says we should listen to the Travel Coordinator guy because he "made it to the NHL".
So I looked him up. Found out he played 42 games for 3 teams. And then I went on youtube...
The only video is of him turtling under Steve Thomas. You see them in the back of a shot, Thomas grabs his jersey and he dropped to the ice with his hands over his head.
