This thread is bringing back painful memories. About 5 years ago I had surgery on my jaw to correct an underdevelopment of the lower jaw.

Went on the liquid diet for several weeks. Started at about 155 lbs, dropped to about 125.

The low point was about a week after when I sat in the bathroom willing myself not to vomit because I was warned that it would present a serious choking hazard. Between the pain meds, not eating any solid food, and the shit that oozes out of the incisions while it's healing I had crazy nausea.

The high point was about two weeks out when the bands were loosened enough that I could fit a toothbrush between my teeth - sorta.

In short...I can relate to the pain my friend.
