There is now thread I can put this properly. But I found Tim Jones neat, he was a volunteer that dedicated his life to rescuing people off the mountain. This is an incredible loss to all communities. Tim Jones was the team leader and hero of the north shore rescue team who worked tirelessly to save so many people that got lost and stuck on the mountainside. He deserves the highest honours we can bestow upon him. Thank you for your service Tim. RIP

this is very sad ... he was the face of search and rescue ... i saw a documentary just last week about search and rescue organizations around the world and he was featured prominently as being someone that people from around the world came to for direction, guidelines, procedures
