Congrats on making the playoffs, Pirates!

(Even if it did come at our expense.)

A couple of Canadian boys on the Pirates, I hope they can make a deep run.

Pirates have great uniforms. If nothing else I root for the NL because their fanbases and uniforms shit on the AL.

And they don't have the DH.

Ban the DH.

I have never understood the objection to the DH. It's not like they make the offensive lineman or a wide receiver kick a field goal in football. Hell, they totally switch sides.

It would be interesting if in the original baseball rules you were allowed to have an "offense" and a "defense" like in football. Have a lineup of great hitters and trot out a totally different team to field.

It took me a really long time to figure out why you didn't like that song in regards to the Pirates, then I remembered your rooting interest.

Awesome.

Looks like he got to keep his hand, too. Bonus.

Who knew that camo worked so well underwater?

Oh, and GREAT set of pictures, D'stone. :thumb:

Thanks, I really like the top one in particular. I don't think it could have been better in any facet: timing, framing, or angle.

Pirates have great uniforms. If nothing else I root for the NL because their fanbases and uniforms shit on the AL.

NL ball is a lot better, I think. The ballparks are a lot more pitcher friendly, so teams really have to string hits together to get runs across. I think it adds that extra suspense dynamic.

And they don't have the DH.

Ban the DH.

Amen.

Also, I find the multiquote feature neat. If not for it, I'd probably have about 50,000 posts.

Baseball players have enough time to scratch their balls as it is. We definitely don't need this.

Pitchers should hit, and they should be hitting throughout the minor leagues so they're not completely incompetent at it when they get to the Majors. A lot of these guys could hit before they got drafted, but then they didn't do it for their four or five years of development. That's why pitchers are such terrible hitters now.

Pitching is their most important job. That doesn't mean they don't need to chip in with the bat. Greinke gets it.
